The revival of “Avatar” in theaters – which is an improved version of the original film by James Cameron and which has 3D 4KHDR— has surprised his attendees with a long post-credits scene never before seen from “El camino del agua”, a sequel that opens in December of this year 2022. What is this exclusive look about?
The 2009 version simply ended with the credits, but this time it seems that the hand of Disney has wanted to copy the classic style of Marvel Studios, so it has given away a few unreleased minutes from the next film that will take fans back to Pandora.
What is the post-credits scene in “Avatar” about?
After only the first animated credits appears on the screen: “And now an exclusive look at the sequel”. The first thing we see is a young Na’vi wake up in the middle of the sea an animal similar to a small whale.
This cetacean has a kind of metal embedded in its fin. The blue-skinned young man – who looks like the son of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana)— manage to remove the object with a little effort.
What follows is something that James Cameron has already anticipated in previous interviews: a long underwater walk that ends with a shot in which the Na’visubmerged, remains resting next to the great animal while touching its fin.
This has been a preview that reveals a little more than what we will see in “Avatar: The Way of Water”sequel that has taken more than 10 years in its production.

“Avatar: The Path of Water” opens in theaters next December 15 in Peru and in other Latin American countries.
