DElon Musk's drug use is troubling executives and board members of the companies he runs, according to a new media report. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed people familiar with the billionaire and the companies.
Musk consumed LSD, cocaine, ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms, often at private parties, according to the journal. People reportedly close to the Tesla and Space Musk said in August that he had a prescription to take the drug as an antidepressant.
Musk, 52, did not respond to the business newspaper's requests for comment, but wrote on his platform X that the tabloid television channel TMZ has higher standards than the Wall Street Journal. Alex Spiro, a lawyer for the billionaire, told the newspaper that his client “is regularly and randomly tested for drugs at SpaceX and has never failed a test.” He also referred to “false facts” in the article, but didn't leave take a closer look at it.
Musk is responsible for six companies: Tesla, Space X, Platform X, tunneling company The Boring Company, brain implant developer Neuralink and artificial intelligence startup xAI. With his net worth of $219.4 billion, he is ranked No. 1 on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
