Renta 4 joins the group of investment firms that want to get a piece of the passive management pie, with more and more followers not only among novice investors but also among high-net-worth private banks. It has just launched what it calls Easy Walletswhich will allow access from 100 euros to personalized portfolios according to the risk profile and investment objectives of each client, where the application of automated management through algorithms will allow their adaptation to market conditions, according to the bank chaired by Juan Carlos. Ureta in a press release.
The bank has established a management fee of 0.25%, somewhat lower than the 0.41% applied by Indexa or Finizens for the smallest equity investment volumes, so it competes directly with the roboadvisors best known in the Spanish market.
The ecosystem of automated portfolio management or investment plans based on algorithms has not stopped growing in recent years, with independent projects such as IronIA Fintech, participated by the independent advisory firm Diaphanum, MyInvestor, promoted by Andbank, or others dependent on large entities, such as roboadvisor from Openbank, Banco Santander, or the portfolios smart from CaixaBank.
And more and more purely digital firms such as Trade Republic, Revolut, Scalable Capital, Degiro or eToro have entered to compete in this segment of passive management either through the possibility of contracting ETFs or through investment plans supported by algorithms and indexed products. .
In fact, even the private banks of traditional entities have signed up for indexed management as another service for high net worth individuals, as is the case of the Catalan entity, BBVA, Bankinter or Banco Santander, which has been the last to launch your indexed management service.
The Renta 4 service has been launched by the bank’s Digital Solutions team, under the supervision of Celso Otero, who explains that “artificial intelligence allows us to scale and offer a service for everyone, without excluding anyone because of their assets, taking into account the needs of each client, the characteristics of the products in which they invest and how the market is at all times. The digital business department supervised by Rafael Casado, one of the architects of Finect, the digital community of investors, has participated in the design of the portfolios.
