According to Higuita, they are two pumas, wild animals, carnivorous mammals, that roam in the area and, apparently, have killed some of the farmers’ cattle.
Due to the danger, the farmers, according to Higuita, have decided to hunt and sacrifice the animals. That is why René has interceded to see if the lives of these animals can be saved.
Higuita makes an urgent call to the institutions in charge of animal protection to intercede and rescue the pumas.
“These two pumas are on a farm near Yondó, Antioch. In the WSP group that we have, the farmers in the area say that they are going to sacrifice them since they have killed several cattle. I have asked for a little time to see if we can provide another solution, dwhere there is no need to sacrifice these animals. I call on
@Corantioquia or wildlife conservation entities to verify the case, I also ask you for help by sharing to see if we find the right people to save the lives of these animals,” said the exporter in his X account.
His message is accompanied by photos from security cameras that captured the animals in the area.
Yondó is a municipality in Colombia, located in the Magdalena Medio subregion in the department of Antioquia.
