New rules, new cars
The international motoring federation today presented the new technical regulations scheduled for 2026when the power units and also the aerodynamics will change compared to the current generation of cars.
To give a visual idea of what the new single-seaters of the Circus could be in a couple of seasons, the FIA has also revealed a virtual ‘show car’ which highlights some of the interventions made, especially from the point of view of size.
Attention to safety
From a safety point of view, the FIA - always attentive to these issues – has revised the regulations regarding the front impact structureintroducing a two-stage nose design to mitigate the risk of detachment in the initial stages of an impact.
Even the regulations on lateral anti-intrusion components are more severe, while protection around the pilot and the fuel cell has been improved.
