Lara Siscar, presenter of the format, sits down to chat at length with Mujika about those days and what it was like to practice journalism while being in the center of the target. In this installment, Siscar and Mujika walk through the center of San Sebastián through streets that he could not walk on for years because he was threatened. Graduated in Journalism from the University of Navarra, he began his professional career in the Guipuzcoan Delegation of the newspaper Deia and he was also RNE’s sports correspondent in San Sebastián for seven years. He joined The Basque Journal in September 1990 as editor-in-chief to promote a modernization project and expand the newspaper’s regional editions. Four years later he was appointed deputy assistant director until 1995 when he was appointed director. In 2020 he was replaced by David Taberna.
Through in-depth interviews and visits to the places where events that marked their professional career took place, En primicia reviews the journey of 13 prominent Spanish journalists and, with them, looks back on recent Spanish history.
