Rapper Killer Mike was handcuffed during the Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday (4 January 2024), in Los Angeles (USA). He was escorted out shortly before the live broadcast of the event began.
Los Angeles police spokesman Mike Lopez told the outlet AP (Associated Press) that the arrest was related to a riot that occurred inside the Crypto.com Arena, where the ceremony was held.
During the pre-televised portion of the ceremony, Killer Mike won 3 awards: song and rap performance, both for the song “Scientists and Engineers”, and rap album for “Michael”.
Michael Render, the artist's given name, was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on February 29.
