Rally | Rovanperä came fourth in the Swedish World Rally Championship: “The car is really bad to drive”

Rovanperä has improved his positions, even though the car understeers.

Hyundai’s Esapekka Lappi is third and Toyota’s Kalle Rovanperä fourth after the tenth special stage of the Swedish World Rally Championship. Hyundai continues to lead the race Craig Breenwhich is 19.5 seconds ahead of Lapland and 31.6 seconds ahead of Rovanperä.

Rovanperä won Toyota in the tenth special test by Elfyn Evans over but was not happy with his car.

“The car is really bad to drive, and I lose a lot of time. I don’t know if we made a mistake in the regulations, or if they just don’t fit these conditions. The car understeers, and I have to fight with it all the time,” Rovanperä assesses on the WRC website.

Lappi was 5.9 seconds slower than Rovanpera in the tenth special test.

“I’m just too slow. I can’t push in fast periods like I would like. We have to go back in the direction of yesterday,” said Lappi.

Second is Ford’s Ott Tänakwhich is 5.7 seconds behind Breen.

Five more special tests will be run today. The competition ends with three special tests run on Sunday.
