Rally driving Hyundai rally boss Andrea Adamo suddenly resigned

The new World Cup series will start in six weeks.

Andrea Adamo will not continue as Hyundai’s team manager in the World Rally Championship next season.

According to a Hyundai press release, Adamo will resign immediately for personal reasons.

Under Adamo’s leadership, Hyundai won the Manufacturers ’World Championships in 2019 and 2020. The Italian engineer worked at Hyundai’s stable for six years.

As a team manager he moved in January 2019 Michel Nandanin to the place.

“We have agreed together to leave my job. I wish the stable all the best in the future, ”Adamo says in a Hyundai press release.

In the rally world, Adamo is known from time to time for his angular leadership style.

The World Rally Championship will start in six weeks in Monte Carlo. The rules of the series will change next season, when cars will move into hybrid time.

For the time being, Hyundai’s team manager is the Chairman of the Board of Hyundai’s motorsport company Scott Well.
