Steiner-Schumacher, the battle continues
Ralph Schumacher and Günther Steiner They don’t exactly like each other and do nothing to hide it. The former German driver responded to the South Tyrolean’s statements, according to which Mick Schumacher would not be a credible option for Alpine in 2025 also because he will have already been two years away from Formula 1.
According to the former Williams driver, Steiner is only trying to prevent Schumacher from returning to Formula 1, perhaps for fear of being proven wrong about Mick’s abilities, who was sacked at the end of 2022 by the same South Tyrolean (then Haas team principal).
Schumacher’s words
“I don’t understand these senseless outbursts from our friend Günther. I’m starting to get the feeling that he wants to prevent Mick’s return. Because if Mick returned successfully, Steiner would be highly criticized“, this is his comment on Instagram. “Looking at Haas’ results this year, I’d probably look at myself“.
Meanwhile Ralf communicated on German TV RTL of not wanting to appear on the small screen with Steiner himself, as reported by the German newspaper F1-Insider: “There will be no more joint appearances in front of the cameras. In Bahrain I was still able to put our differences aside, but now that is no longer possible“.
