That this Friday, October 25, all eyes are on the Campoamor Theater gala is no secret. What is new is the look of the Queen Letizia for the Princess of Asturias Awards 2024. The blue carpet of the famous awards especially suits the queen of Spain in her native Oviedo. And with this year’s look, the game has been passed. We don’t talk about anything else and we explain why.
Queen Letizia She has attended almost all the Princess of Asturias Awards ceremonies since her wedding to Felipe VI, both as princess and queen. With a couple of exceptions, since 2004, Queen Letizia has been surpassed, year after yearbetting on designs by Felipe Varela, Carolina Herrera, DelPozo and The 2nd Skin Co. It has set the bar so high in some editions that it is difficult to surpass it, but in this 44th edition it has done so.
Queen Letizia’s spectacular asymmetrical dress
The rain has given the Asturian attendees a break and, at 6:23 p.m. This Friday, we were able to see the royal family leaving the Hotel de la Reconquista towards the Campoamor Theater.
Queen Letizia has opted for a spectacular black dress adjusted from Carolina Herrera. A black ‘total look’ that has been combined with a pointed slingback ‘kitten’ heel and a ‘clutch’ in the same color. But we don’t forget the hair, a loose, molded and voluminous mane that reveals spectacular diamond earrings by De Grisogono.
Daytime look vs. Queen Letizia’s evening look
For the photo of the royal family with the winners of the Princess of Asturias Awards, which took place this Friday morning at the Reconquista hotel, the Queen of Spain has chosen a flattering fuchsia dress. It is not the first time, far from it, that Letizia opts for this color. In fact, we could say that it is one of his favorite shades because he usually wears it, either for more formal events with a tailored suit, or for airy and summery dresses.
Although the queen has opted for tweed for the daytime look (a fabric that Princess Leonor has also opted for with a Maje dress), with a model with a crew neck, French sleeves and a midi skirt —accompanied by some nude pumps by Magrit and a matching bag by Carolina Herrera—; For the afternoon look, Letizia has impressed us with this black midi dress with rear opening.
This style reminds us of the one the queen wore Letizia at the 2023 Princess of Asturias Awards. An asymmetrical dress in black, very sensual and tight, also signed by Carolina Herrera.
However, we like this year’s version better because it has both sleeves, but the neckline slides to one side revealing the shoulder in a very sophisticated way.
The De Grisogono teardrop earrings put the icing on the cake, proving that a total black look can be the most spectacular.
Letizia’s beauty look
We cannot forget the makeup that the queen has worn. Letizia has us accustomed to tanned skin, and this time was no exception. The queen has worn a golden facial tone (and body with a subtle warm glow) and a flattering ‘nude’ tone with a touch of coral on the lips, paired with pink eye shadow, and a touch of mascara. A natural, but spectacular makeup.
