England captain, harry kanewill wear a bracelet with the colors of the rainbow, against discrimination, during the Qatar World Cupeven if that supposes a sanction to him as much to him as to his selection.
Kane, along with eight other captains of participating teams in the World Cup, announced in September that he will wear this bracelet in protest against the situation of discrimination that exists in Qatar, especially against the community LGBTQ+.
The English federation (FA, for its acronym in English) asked FIFA to wear this bracelet, which is part of the initiative OneLovebut the highest body in world football, three weeks after receiving the request, has not yet responded.
This Wednesday, members of the FA will meet with FIFA in Zurich and ask for an update on this matter, since the permission of the association is essential to be able to wear the armband and without it the England team could be exposed to a fine.
Given this, Kane is willing to wear the bracelet even if that means some kind of fine or sanction.
England joined the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Wales.
