Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to discuss the second phase of nuclear exercises with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko. The Russian leader announced this, his words are quoted TASS.
“Let’s talk about the second phase of the exercises. This is due to the direct participation of our Belarusian friends and colleagues in the military sphere in these events,” Putin said.
The head of state emphasized that security issues are a priority for the governments of Russia and Belarus.
On the evening of May 23, Putin arrived in the Belarusian capital for a two-day official visit; the Kremlin noted that the visit was taking place at the invitation of the host party. After the meeting at the airport, the head of state continued to communicate with Alexander Lukashenko in an informal setting.
