Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu will be the coordinator of work in the field of the military-industrial complex (DIC). This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose words are quoted TASS.
At a meeting with members of the government, the head of state said that the issues in the military-industrial complex are diverse, and when solving them, it is necessary to take into account the profitability of production. Putin also called for ensuring that the Ministry of Defense receives appropriate equipment.
“We need an independent coordinator for all this work. This coordinator will be the Secretary of the Security Council,” the president explained.

Earlier, Putin said that Sergei Shoigu, who took the post of Secretary of the Security Council, would have a huge amount of work in his new place. The head of state also emphasized that Shoigu knows both the needs of the Russian Armed Forces and the capabilities of industry.
