Russian President Vladimir Putin received acting head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Chupriyan to urgently fly to the Rostov region to arrange accommodation for refugees arriving there from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR). This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. TASS on Friday, February 18th.
The representative of the head of state added that the president instructed the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations after a corresponding request from the governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev, who asked for emergency assistance to the region through the federal center in connection with an unexpected large influx of refugees from Donbass.

According to Peskov, the tasks of the Ministry of Emergency Situations include creating conditions for accommodating refugees, providing them with hot meals and everything necessary, including medical care.
In addition, the president instructed the federal government to urgently provide every refugee arriving in the Rostov region from Donbass with a payment in the amount of ten thousand rubles, the representative of the head of state added. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers later announced that funds for this would be allocated from the Reserve Fund of Russia.
