During a weekly live, the president said that the party was already “doing maracutaias” even before the elections
The president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said this Thursday (June 30, 2022) that PT “will not come to power anytime soon”. The President’s statement was given during live weekly on their YouTube channel.
In the broadcast, Bolsonaro quotes the report by Power 360, “Health plan owners donate BRL 750,000 to PT this year”to criticize the party.
According to the president, the members of the Covid CPI did not want to investigate matters related to corruption and that, therefore, “they did not go over the health plans”.
Bolsonaro accused the senators Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL), Randolfe Rodrigues (AP-Net) and Omar Aziz (PSD-AM) of having spared the health insurance companies during the commission.
“As the health plans were not harassed in the CPI, they contributed R$ 750 thousand to the PT. The PT didn’t even come to power and is already doing its tricks around. And he won’t come to power anytime soon for sure.”declared the Chief Executive.
DONATIONS TO PT
the health operator hapvida was one of the companies cited by the CPI da Covid in 2021. The commission investigated the conduct of the federal government in facing the pandemic in Brazil and the performance of companies and doctors.
The company, together with the operators Unimed and Prevent Senior, entered the list of possible investigations because of the accusation about the use of the so-called early treatment, which has no proof of effectiveness.
The collegiate even had a request to summon the president of Hapvida, Jorge Pinheiro Koren de Lima, but the businessman was never heard or included among those indicted in the final report of the CPI.
Lima donated R$62,500 to the PT in April. His father, the founder of the company and member of the Board of Directors, Candido Pinheiro Koren de Lima, also donated the same amount in April.
The other amounts were donated by Ana Christina Fontoura Koren de Lima and Candido Koren de Lima Junior, each with R$ 312.5 thousand. The amounts are the highest received individually by PT to date.
The legislation vetoes donations of resources directly from companies to parties or candidates. Business owners, however, can make donations as individuals, a strategy used by the operator.
