Apparently many users PS5 they don't just love cinematic adventures, but also rubbish games that allow you to unlock Easy trophies. The success of the Stroke series could not be explained otherwise, titles developed in around 30 minutes and sold for 3.29 pounds, which were purchased by more than 120,000 players, earning their author more than 190,000 pounds (net of Sony's share) .
Stroke the Animals, this is the latest title in the series, is not the first rubbish game by TJ Gardner, this is the name of its author, who has focused his business on titles developed in record time and only good for unlocking Trophies.
The actually Gardner's first game published on PlayStation Store it took him about eight hours (the development costs were still modest), but then ours improved and from Stroke the Beaver onwards he was able to create one in half an hour.
Easy money
What do these masterpieces consist of? When they are started, an image of an animal appears on the screen on a completely blue background. At the top left of the screen is the writing “Strokes 0”, with the figure growing by pressing the X button. After 25 presses you get the bronze trophy. For Platinum, however, you have to work harder, i.e. press the X button 2000 times. That's all? That's all.
There are no animations. There are no sound effects. Alone animal images under Creative Commons license taken from the net and some flash. Of course, Gardner's business is legal and legitimate, although one wonders why Sony doesn't apply a minimum of filter to the inclusion of similar products in the PlayStation Store catalogue.
