Digital Foundry is back to talking about PS5 Prothe much talked about mid-gen upgrade of the Sony console which should boast, among other things, a Ultra Boost mode completely similar to the one included at the time with PS4 Pro.
Well, according to the English newspaper this functionality it will help in several gamesbasically all those that adopt dynamic resolutions, unlocked frame rates and upscaling technologies such as FSR 2, which in this case will directly exploit the greater power of PlayStation 5 Pro.
Specifically, Digital Foundry has named titles such as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Final Fantasy 16 and Immortal of Aveum, all characterized by a scaler that gets quite aggressive in order to keep the frame rate solid.
As far as Sony first party productions are concerned, taking advantage of the PS5's Ultra Boost mode (net of any official updates) will be games like Marvel's Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Part 1, the Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, God of War Ragnarok and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

In light of what has emerged so far, it seems that PS5 Pro will fill the technological gap that prevents the current PS5 model from achieve certain results with triple A experiences without making major compromises in terms of visual quality or performance.
Even if this were only this, the advantage offered by the upgrade could make perfect sense for the most demanding enthusiasts, but it will also be interesting to understand what will be the role of ray tracing and how it will be handled by developers relative to current employment.
According to various rumors, PS5 Pro will make its debut in stores next autumn.
