Remember Project Awakening? This is a spectacular game presented by CyGames way back in 2016, of which nothing has been seen for three years now but which apparently it was not cancelledwith the team that is continuing to work on itaccording to recent reports.
Considering that eight years have passed since its first announcement, thinking of a possible cancellation of the project is quite natural, but just today the official X account of the game is back active with a message, with which the team confirmed that it is still working on I'm working on Project Awakening, albeit keeping the operations under wraps.
“Hi, our team has some important messages for you,” reads the post published on X. “1. Our game has not been canceled! 2. We are working hard behind the scenes to bring you the best experience possible. Stay tuned for further updates on this in the coming months, thank you for your continued support!”
A truly impressive game
The message is decidedly clear: Project Awakening is still alive and in development, even if there has been no further information about it, with work proceeding in secret “behind the scenes”, but with a certain intensity.
Announced near Gamescom 2016, Project Awakening was then shown behind closed doors at E3 2018 and, in the same year, with a trailer at TGS 2018. We last saw the video in November 2021, when CyGames showed the game graphics with an additional trailer, but communications have since stopped.
This is an interesting one action adventure with a medieval fantasy settingfeaturing graphics that were absolutely impressive when they were first announced and that continue to be truly impressive even by today's standards.
