Nyt: “Israel has invested 2 million in a social campaign to generate consensus on the war”
There is the Israeli government behind one large-scale pressure campaign promoted in the United States For mainly influence parliamentarians of color and young progressives. According to an investigation by the organization Fake Reporter, the campaign did extensive use of fake websites and social profiles to promote pro-Israeli, anti-Palestinian and anti-Muslim content, as well as spread disinformation about anti-Semitism on American campuses.
The project was managed by Tel Aviv marketing company Stoic, which was paid 2 million dollars by the Ministry of Diaspora led by Amichai Chikli. ChatGPT was used to create posts, which included three fake English-language news sites with pro-Israel articles. Meta, owner of Facebook and Instagram, has “interrupted the operation” since last week, the NYT specified.
