On Tuesday, Niinistö will give Finland’s national address at the opening of the UN General Assembly. In addition to Niinistö, the Finnish General Assembly delegation includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto (green), Minister of Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Ville Skinnari (sd) and the Minister of Education Lee Andersson (left).

The President will also attend a high-level event for the Christchurch Appeal against Terrorism and Extremism and a meeting of the Friends of the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. In addition, he will give a video speech at an event preparing for the UN Biodiversity Conference. The program also includes bilateral meetings in New York and Washington.
