In 2019, the Infinity Saga and the third phase of the MCU they came to an end. Since then, Marvel has worked to lay the groundwork for its next big movie event. Thus, Kevin Feige has confirmed that the fifth phase of this universe will be revealed in the coming months.
Through an interview with Total Film, Feige revealed that Marvel Studios is preparing everything necessary to reveal its plans related to the fifth phase of the MCU.. This was what was said about it:
“As we get closer to the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is headed. I think there have already been many clues, which are at least apparent to me, as to where this whole saga is going.
We’ll be a little more direct about it in the coming months, to lay out a plan, so that audiences who want to see the big picture can see a little more of the roadmap.”
Though Feige didn’t specifically mention what the next big MCU event will be, his comments refer to Secret Wars. In the comics, this was a huge crossover where various Marvel universes competed for survival in a cosmic tournament. Throughout the fourth phase we have seen evidence that this is the direction films will take, with productions such as LOKI, Spider-Man: No Way Home Y Doctor Strange in the Multiverse being the prime examples.
Now, when will the projects that will be part of the fifth phase be revealed? This year, Marvel will have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con, where there’s a chance to see more information about the future of the MCU. Nevertheless, D23, Disney’s bi-annual event, is very likely the right place to share more details about it.
Regarding the fourth phase, there are still several films and series that will be part of this stage. Not only Ms Marvel will continue to release episodes on a weekly basis, but it is on its way Thor: Love and Thunder She-Hulk: Attorney at Lawan unnamed Halloween special, Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Y Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This means that productions like Captain America 4, Echo, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and more, they would be part of the fifth phase of the MCU.
On related topics, the bloopers of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Similarly, Chris Evans talks about participating in Star Wars.
Editor’s note:
There is no doubt that the fourth phase was not as planned as the previous ones, but even so, there were quality productions. I hope that the fifth phase of the MCU has a better structure, and we don’t just see series and movies that seem random.
