Premiership, Ciriani: “Clear objectives, there's no going back”
The direct election of the prime minister is not touched on the issue of premiered they will just be there shared amendments.
It is the line that emerged at majority summit which was held in the Senate on the topic of reforms. The meeting was attended by ministers Ciriani and Casellati and the majority group leaders Romeo, Gasparri And Malan. The amendments must be presented by January 29th. Hard the jurist Antonio Baldassarre, constitutionalist and president emeritus of the Constitutional Court: “If I were a senator I wouldn't vote for him“.
“Today, as was right and necessary, we took stock after the hearings. President Balboni summarized the critical observations that emerged. The majority moves forward unitedly on a central reform for the government program. There will be no escapes forward on the part of groups or individuals and on possible changes we will proceed together; in any case there is no possibility of going back on the direct election of the prime minister”. This was said by the minister for relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani at the end of majority summit on the Premiership.

“The outcome of the majority meeting, with ministers Casellati and Ciriani, confirms our desire to move forward unitedly on constitutional reform for the Premiership. The direct election of the Prime Minister it is a cornerstone of our program of government, the political priority of this constituent legislature: we intend to carry forward this reform to give stability to the country and guarantee full respect for the citizens' vote. A historic step, which Forza Italia has been hoping for for some time, and which we will achieve thanks to the cohesion of the entire centre-right”. This was declared by the President of the Constitutional Affairs Commission of the Chamber, Nazario Pagano of Forza Italia.
