Specialists have fully restored the power supply of the Mariupol Commercial Seaport. This was announced on Wednesday, July 6, in the Telegram channel by the Ministry of Coal and Energy of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR)
“Today, July 6, the power supply of the Mariupol Commercial Sea Port has been restored,” the ministry noted.
On June 12, a journalist from Japan, Asuka Tokuyama, in an interview with Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin, assessed the work to restore the port of Mariupol. Before the trip to the city, she believed that the port was completely destroyed. Tokuyama was surprised that he actually worked in perfect order.
On June 7, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that the seaports of Mariupol and Berdyansk are operating normally and are ready to ship grain. He stressed that the port of Mariupol had already received the first cargo ships. Earlier, specialists in the port cleared the beaches and coastal waters of the Black Sea.
On May 25, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, said that the port in Mariupol had begun operating as usual.
The day before, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the complete demining of the port area in Mariupol. Specialists of the Black Sea Fleet and engineering troops examined 134 structures, found and neutralized more than 12 thousand explosive objects and weapons abandoned by Ukrainian militants.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the backdrop of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
