Popular Russian rapper Mot (real name – Matvey Melnikov) will leave the Black Star label after nine years of cooperation. This was reported with reference to its own sources and the words of the founder of the company, Pasha (Pavel Kuryanov). Peopletalk.
“Mot is going to leave Black Star, as his contract ends, and he is no longer going to renew it, as it was two years ago,” a source from show business told the publication. It is assumed that Melnikov maintained a good relationship with the production company. In circles close to the rapper, they believe that his wife Maria Melnikova can become the new producer of the artist.
The founder of the Black Star company, Pasha, confirmed the information about the break with the artist. “Mot is our separate, very great pride and love. (…) Matvey will continue his further movement on his own, ”said Kuryanov. He added that the release of artists from the label is a natural process.
According to the publication, Mot will announce his departure from the label in the near future. The contractor did not publicly comment on this information.
Earlier it became known that the Russian rapper L’One (Levan Gorozia), who left Black Star in 2019 with a scandal, regained the rights to his creative pseudonym. The artist said that he reached an agreement with the label, thanks to which he can again publish music and other content under his stage name.
