The act took place on Monday in the vicinity of Oulu University Hospital and Kastelli School on a light traffic route.
The police arrested the suspected perpetrator near the crime scene, the release states. The arrest went peacefully.
According to the police, the victim is a student of Kastelli high school. The victim, who was transported to the hospital, suffered serious injuries in the stabbing.
