Poland ready to transfer 232 PT-91 Twardy tanks to Ukraine
Poland is ready to transfer more than two hundred battle tanks to Ukraine. This is reported by Visegrad 24 agency in its Twitter-account with reference to military experts.
As specified, we are talking about PT-91 Twardy, which is a modernized version of the Soviet main tank T-72M1. In total, Kyiv can receive 232 combat vehicles of this model from Warsaw.
According to the agency, deliveries can be made after Poland itself receives another batch of Abrams M1A2 tanks ordered from the United States.
Previously, notes Visegrad 24, Warsaw has already sent about 240 modernized T-72s to the Ukrainian side.
In May, it was reported that the T-72M1 tanks that Poland sent to Ukraine were using outdated ammunition. T-72M1 are equipped with a sight that limits the use of tanks in the dark.
