Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret expansion announced

The Pokémon Company he announced Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secretnew expansion for the Pokémon TCG. The expansion will be available worldwide starting next year August 2 and will go to introduce Pecharunt and a new mechanic called Dominant Chains. THE NEW EXPANSION OF THE POKÉMON TRADING CARD GAME “SCARLET AND VIOLET – FAIRYTALE SECRET” IS COMING

The new expansion introduces invaluable cards for collectors with illustrations inspired by Japanese woodblock prints.

May 16, 2024 – The Pokémon Company International announced that Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secreta new and special expansion of the hugely popular Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG)will be available starting from August 2, 2024at authorized resellers around the world.

Pecharuntoriginally discovered in the DLC The Treasure of theArea Zero for video games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, will make its GCC debut Pokémon with expansion Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret as a type Pokémon Darkness. Players will be able to use the ability Dominant Chains of Pecharunt-ex to switch their Active Pokémon with one of the Darkness-type Pokémon on their Bench. Pecharunt-ex can be paired with Okidogi-ex, Munkidori-ex And Fezandipiti-ex to create different game strategies.

Furthermore, the holographic cards parallels of expansion Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret will feature a special new holographic pattern that highlights the card’s illustration. Cards belonging to the holographic parallel set will be identifiable by the expansion code in the lower left corner of the card which normally appears in a small black box with white text and which will now appear in a small white box with black text.

Among the noteworthy cards of this expansion we find:

• Three rare Trainer cards TACTICAL ACE
• Five Pokémon-exes and one Pokémon-ex Teracristal
• 15 rare Pokémon illustration cards
• 10 ultra-rare cards, including Pokémon-ex cards, Pokémon-ex Teracristal and Helper cards
• Five rare special illustration cards, including Helper and Pokémon cards
• Five hyper-golden rare cards imprinted in a special way

The cards of the expansion Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret will be available in the following products:

• Star Wars Trainer Set from the expansion Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret (available August 2, 2024) which includes nine booster packs from this expansion, a rare promotional art card of Pecharunt, and various game accessories.
• Kingambit illustration collection of the expansion Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret (available August 2, 2024) which includes four packs of this expansion, a rare promotional card illustration of Kingambit in the unique style of Ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock print genre) and two holographic promotional cards of Pawniard and Bisharp.
• Kingdra-ex special illustration collection from the expansion Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret (available August 2, 2024) which includes five booster packs from this expansion, a rare special illustration promotional card of Kingdra-ex in the unique style of Ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock print genre), and two holographic promotional cards of Horsea and Seadra.
• Greninja-ex special illustration collection from the expansion Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret (available August 2, 2024) which includes five booster packs of this expansion, a rare special illustration promotional card of Greninja-ex in the unique style of Ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock print genre) and two holographic promotional cards of Froakie and Frogadier.
• Three-pack of expansion promo card packs Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret(available August 2, 2024) which includes three booster packs from this expansion and a foil Pecharunt promotional card.
• Mini collector’s box of the expansion Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret (available August 2, 2024) which includes two packs of this expansion, a sheet of stickers and a card with art of Dusknoir, Zoroark, Okidogi, Munkidori or Fezandipiti, matching the box.
• Expansion booster pack Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret (available September 6, 2024), which includes six packs from this expansion.

Additionally, before the release of the tabletop version, Trainers will be able to play with from August 1, 2024 Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret digitally on the del app Pokémon TCG Live for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. The expansion will be available in the in-game store, where players will be able to redeem crystals, earned by completing daily objectives, for various Scarlet and Violet – Fairytale Secret.
