Podemos launches an express consultation with its bases so that the militancy decides whether it agrees to condition the favorable vote for the next General State Budgets (PGE) of its four deputies in Congress on the Government breaking diplomatic relations with Israel and lowering By law 40% of the rental price.
This was announced by the general secretary of the party, Ione Belarra, in an institutional statement after meeting the Podemos Secretariat and detailing that from tomorrow until sunday Those registered will be able to vote on the matter.
The deputy in the Mixed Group has also stressed that the relevant decisions in Podemos are made by the militancy and, therefore, she will ask if they support setting two conditions to agree with the PSOE on their favorable vote, under the demand of immediately breaking commercial relations and diplomats with Israel’s “genocidal state”l, including a total arms embargo, and once and for all stop the “housing crisis.”
On this last point, Belarra has demanded that rents be lowered by law by 40%, prohibit the sale and purchase of housing of any property that is not intended for habitual residence and “dismantle” once and for all companies such as ‘Desokupa’which he calls “squad commando.”
“It’s the least you can ask for”
“I think that in this context it is the minimum that can be asked of this Government so that it can count on the support of Podemos,” emphasized Belarra, who has proclaimed that its formation must “exercise your power to the fullest”, through its four seats in the Lower House, to demand that the Government, at least, “minimally respect the mandate of the polls” in the last general elections.
Precisely, the leader of the purple formation toughened her tone before the Government last Saturday when, within the framework of her intervention at the formation’s ‘Autumn Uni’, she advanced that she established these two requirements to give support for the Government in Congress.
During her intervention broadcast on networks by the party, Belarra has accused the Government of disappointing the expectations of progressive voters, understanding that it is not undertaking no social transformation.
“I believe that there are millions of decent people in Spain who vote for Podemos, but also for other political parties, who cannot understand that the Government of Spain is making us accomplices to the worst genocide in a century“, nor “do anything” to stop the housing crisis when people have said “enough is enough.”

The PSOE once again demonstrates which, like the PP, thinks that the institutions and everyone’s money is yours and that he can do whatever he wants with it,” the Podemos leader said.
