Podemos Asturies says that these manifestations suppose “an attack on peaceful and democratic coexistence and also promote fascism.”
Political formation recalls that with this type of demonstrations the Democratic Memory Law of October 19, 2022 is being breached.
Article 38 of the Law provides that “acts contrary to democratic memory will be considered to carry out acts carried out in public that involve discredit (…) of the victims or their relatives, and suppose personal or collective exaltation of the military uprising of the military uprising ”
They ask for the intervention of the Prosecutor’s Office
Therefore, Podemos Asturies urges the competent authorities not to ignore this type of facts that, as he says, “are increasingly frequent in our community” and also “give free rein to fascist impunity above the democratic forecasts of the legislation”.
From the Secretariat of Republican Horizon of Podemos Asturies, they consider that, in the face of this type of facts, democratic political institutions and organizations, as well as unions and civil society “have to live up to it.”
They also ask for the intervention of both the General Directorate of Democratic Memory and the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the facts and require the public rectification of the disco.
