A military police officer from Rio was arrested on suspicion of killing a fellow military officer, on Saturday, 11, in Bom Jesus do Itabapoana, north of the state of Rio. According to information provided by the Military Police, the two would have had a relationship in the past.
According to the PM, the police officer suspected of killing her colleague testified at the 6th Military Judiciary Police Station (DPJM) and was taken to the corporation’s Prison Unit.
“The location of the incident was isolated for expertise by the Criminalistics Center of the Military Police (CCrim)” and “the weapons that were with each of those involved in the incident were seized”, informed the PM.
The Civil Police reported that the case was registered at the 143rd Police Station, in Itaperuna, also in northern Rio de Janeiro, but was referred to the CCrim, “because it was a military crime”.
“The woman was taken into custody. An expertise was carried out at the crime scene and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the facts.
According to the newspaper The globethe arrested police officer, corporal of the PM, initially informed the police team that attended the incident that the crime would have been committed by hooded men, but the testimony of the victim’s current girlfriend would have been decisive to deny the first allegations.
Confronted, the suspect would have confessed to the crime.
