The reason for her return, according to the airline, is that a passenger, about 40 years old, refused to wear a mask, breaching a federal requirement.

After landing the authorities escorted the passenger to get out of the plane, although, as mentioned by the Miami-Dade Police Department, to the media ‘The New York Times’, the woman was not arrested.
This case is added to the list of inconveniences that airlines have had with some passengers since the federal mandate of the obligation to wear face masks was imposed to prevent the spread of covid-19.
In fact, in 2021 a total of 4,290 aircraft incidents were reported and during the first three weeks of 2022 nearly 100 cases per drawbacks with the use of the mask, in accordance with what is indicated by the United States Federal Aviation Administration.
