Pirelli launches the new Diablo Rosso IV Corsa | FormulaPassion.it

Pirelli presented the new tire Diablo Rosso IV Corsa, a high performance hypersport product for the world of motorcycling. The new tire represents the more thrusting version of the Diablo Rosso IV supersport road tire, and was created to satisfy motorcyclists who want a tire capable of sportier performance, able to be best used especially on the track.

According to Pirelli, Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires would also be ideal for mountain passes and on winding roads, especially in dry conditions; and for tuning enthusiasts, who are looking for performance upgrades, who take care of the bike’s set-up and wink at aesthetics. From a technical point of view, the tread pattern is in fact more slick than the rest of the range, with a compound more concentrated on mechanical grip. The studied repetition of the shapes on the tread offers a high resistance to stress, with a better thermal balance. The empty-to-full ratio is 25% lower than Diablo Rosso IV.

The front tread it is divided into three areas using two different compounds. The central band has a Full Silica compound that occupies 45% of the portion of the profile and is present in the contact area up to 25 degrees of lean angle; the side bands have a softer Full Silica compound than the central one, thanks to the use of innovative resins with a high melting temperature. The rear tire also follows a dual compound pattern, in order to work in harmony with the front. The Full Silica central compound provides a quick warm-up, while the shoulder compound is 100% Carbon Black and derives directly from the Diablo Supercorsa SC compounds used in competitions.

The profiles are derived from racing and are characterized by a multi-spoke development. The central band has a sharper profile to facilitate an immediate drop in lean and quick changes of direction. In the side bands, on the other hand, the curvature is less accentuated in order to increase the contact area and ensure maximum traction when cornering. The front and rear tires follow a similar profile setting, thus ensuring a perfectly balanced and neutral behavior of the set. Diablo Rosso IV Corsa Pirelli uses a zero-degree steel belt structure, derived from the one developed in the racing field. The stiff cord technology consists in the use of strings that are more rigid and at the same time less densely distributed (-20%) than a standard product. This pattern leaves more room for the rubber compound which, thanks to its damping properties, improves the driving feeling.

There range Once all the specifications have been launched, it will be composed of 110/70 and 120/70 front tires, while at the rear Pirelli will make tires available in sizes 150/60, 180/55, 180/60, 190/50, 190 / 55, 200/55 and 200/60.
