In the context of the reorganization of the motorsport structure, within the communication and brand image department of Pirelli, Matteo Bonciani has been appointed the new head of communication for Pirelli’s motorsport activities: Formula 1, World Rally Championship and GT.
Bonciani, a Florentine and professional journalist, is a familiar face to Formula 1 fans. In the 2000s he joined Ferrari dealing with product and Formula 1 printing, eventually becoming director of communications for the Asia Pacific region.

In 2010 Bonciani left the Maranello company to join the International Automobile Federation, becoming, the following year, head of Formula 1 communication, covering this role for 8 years.
Bonciani then left this position in June 2019 after having acted as a connection between the teams and the promoters of the series in over 150 Grands Prix.
