In October 2023, The Pokémon Company announced a collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum in the Netherlands, which was all chaos. In a scene straight out of a movie, dozens of fans and resellers invaded this location to obtain every piece of merchandise possible. One of the most popular was a special TCG card featuring Pikachu in this painter's signature style. Now, It has been revealed that this product will once again be available to the public.
Through a statement it has been confirmed that the TCG letter, known as “Pikachu with Gray Felt Hat” will be back on sale in the Netherlands sometime in February 2024, only this time it won't be at the Van Gogh Museum. Instead, various stores across the nation will receive 100 cards, which will be on sale for €30 euros each.
Unfortunately, it is currently unknown if this card will be available in any other nation outside of the Netherlands. Let us remember that, at the timethe Van Gogh Museum stopped selling this product to avoid chaos and protect its employees. In this way, it is not ruled out that this chaos will happen again next month, just in a store instead of a museum.
We remind you that Pikachu's TCG card will be on sale in the Netherlands next February 2024. On related topics, the creators of Pokémon with guns defend their work. Likewise, fans are not happy with this copy.
Editor's Note:
Van Gogh's card is very nice, but people need to calm down. I can't believe that one of the most important museums in the Netherlands was turned into a war zone by people who were only interested in Pokémon merchandise.
