“Ovarian cancer is an extremely complex and difficult disease to treat, because it almost always manifests itself in an advanced form and cannot be predicted unless healthy subjects are identified as carriers of a mutation that exposes them to greater risks”. This was stated by Sandro Pignata, President of the ACTO Campania Scientific Technical Committee, who spoke at the conference “Ovarian cancer in Campania: Let’s change course” sponsored by ACTO Campania and sponsored by GSK, underlining that two documents have been developed in Campania: the “PDTA of ovarian tumors ”, which defines diagnostic and therapeutic aspects, and the “PDTA of hereditary tumors”, which is part of a plan of the Campania Region to identify hereditary tumors.
