Culiacán, Sinaloa.- Culiacán, Sinaloa, one of the most important cities in the northwest, is known for its close interaction with the rivers due to the fact that the municipality is crossed by various hydrological currents, on the other hand, iconic places in the city also stand out, such as; the staircase of the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupeknown in Culiacan as La Lomita, the Black Bridge and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary.
Although these three iconic places have become an obligatory stop for all those who visit the Sinaloa capital, such spaces, a few years ago, were just another place in Culiacán and were not considered an iconic part of the capital.
Old images reveal some of the radical changes that the city of Culiacán has undergone, such is the case of the Álvaro Obregón square and the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, which a few decades ago stood out for its tranquility which was complemented by various colonial buildings which have already disappeared.
Like this building, another of the places that has undergone a drastic change over the years is the Lomita staircase, because now the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe is adorned with a beautiful quarry fence and its spaces are full of trees and plants.
