Yesterday there was a new edition of Xbox Games Showcase, place where many interesting games from the company were revealed that will be coming exclusively to their consoles, PC and also Game Pass. Although he particularly called the case of Doom The Dark Agessince the latter will not be limited to platforms, and it is a fact that it will also reach PS5 to complete the trilogy that began in 2016 with an almost perfect reboot developed by id software.
Shortly after the conference, an interview was done with the leader of this games division, Phil Spencerwho has directly mentioned that over time there will be more games of Xbox that will reach other platforms, this as part of a plan to increase income. Added to this is that the company’s commitment is for the titles to reach more places, which is why there are titles that have yet to be announced in the not-too-distant future.
Here is the statement:
🚨BOOM! Whole Slate
Phil Spencer: Our commitment to Xbox fans is you can buy or rent your games.
To everyone else – Our games are going to more screens and You WILL SEE our games coming to more platforms
And the players on those platforms love that. pic.twitter.com/ALC9SZsilN

Xbox has left the path clear with this decision, and this is not something new, since months ago four of the company’s games were launched in Nintendo Switch and PC: Grounded, Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves. And that makes us believe that in a few months we will see other important releases, it has been constantly mentioned that starfield will be one of the games, and that the announcement could come when its expansion Shattered Space finally be launched in the last months of the year.

Author’s note: More games were definitely going to be announced for other platforms, and we are also seeing that with the Call of Duty saga even though it already has a new owner. I’m curious if in the end they will keep their word of releasing different versions of this shooter for Switch as well.
