Danilo Petrucci on Instagram he gave his medical bulletin in person after a fall “that he didn't think he could talk about”. The rider involved in Superbike with the Barni team's Ducati fell while training on his motocross bike by accidentally accelerating before a jump and fractured his collarbone, shoulder blade and – above all – his jaw.
“Finally for the first time in my life I will lose weight because I have to eat liquid – said Petrux – I'm glad I'm okay, I didn't think I could tell this during the fall. Unfortunately I also severed a nerve in my jaw which perhaps will recover. For a while, though, I will laugh crookedly.”
“I thank the doctors of the Torretta hospital in Ancona very much – added Petrucci – Doctor De Feudis who emergency operated on my jaw placed plates and screws, he created a masterpiece, I was really in a bad way.
