Taking advantage of the showcase offered by the Day of Devs, the developers of Nano Park and the publisher iam8bit presented Petal Runneranarrative adventure which winks at the classics of the Game Boy Color era, currently in development for PC. The game was presented together with a trailer showing some gameplay sequences, which you can find in the player below.
According to the first details shared, the title puts us in the shoes of Cali and her fox companion Kira, as we explore the sunny cyberpunk-style city of Sapphire Valley and train to become couriers in specialized expert motorcyclists, known precisely as Petal Runner.
A story of growth and parcel delivery
The game features pixel art graphics with a bird’s eye view that are somewhat reminiscent of those of the Pokémon series games. Our goal will be to move around the city on a motorbike to deliver pets, with tasks that will often allow us to make new acquaintances, make friends and play various types of minigames.
The developers of Nano Park also say that Petal Runner tells a genuine life story about personal growth. As mentioned at the beginning, the game is currently in development exclusively on PC, but at the moment it still does not have an official or at least indicative release date.
