Pepelu has received a sanction of two matches for the action that led to his expulsion this Monday against Las Palmas. Gil Manzano showed him the red card for “repelling a push from an opponent by hitting him in the face with his hand, when the ball was not in play.”
The Disciplinary Committee has applied the punishment corresponding to the attacks and, therefore, has sanctioned him with two matches. The Valencia captain therefore misses the trip to the Coliseum to face Getafe and Real Madrid’s visit to Mestalla.
Likewise, three other players have been punished with a one-match suspension. Nathancentral defender of Betis, for the tough tackle that cost him a straight red; Kike GarciaAlavés forward, for a double yellow card; and Abqardefender of the Vitoria team, due to accumulation of warnings.
Likewise, Pezzolano, coach of Valladolid, has been suspended for one game due to an accumulation of yellow cards and Pendín Sánchez, assistant coach of Osasuna, has been suspended for two games.
