The culé, a dreamer, dreams.
Watch as Lamine Yamal and Ansu Fati run together, one and the other, on the pitch.
(Until now, both had only met on the field on four occasions; this Sunday they entered together and together they were replaced in the same shift: ten minutes before closing, the parish said goodbye to them with applause).
Lamine Yamal and Ansu Fati are two pearls in a single scenario, perhaps the most promising figures of La Masia in recent times – in marketing terms, no one will doubt it – and upon witnessing such passages, the most adventurous observers become entangled in bold thoughts.
–Have we finally found the Holy Grail?
We will see.
We will have to wait a little longer, because Lamine Yamal is the Lamine Yamal that we already know, but Ansu Fati is not yet the Ansu Fati that one day we met: he has plenty of passion and desire, but he lacks a point of rhythm, another point of determination and various tones of success.
In the meantime, Pedri is growing.
Pedri is the age of Ansu Fati (both 21) and the same scars on his body. Both carry notches that have conditioned their progression. However, they are at different stages.
While Ansu Fati tries to find himself, Pedri leads Hansi Flick’s army.
Different stadiums

Pedri is the charioteer who drives the chariot. He pulls the reins, urges the horses, throws Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, Raphinha and Lewandowski. And like a quarterback, he adjusts his binoculars.
He does it when he scores, like this Sunday, when he scored the second Barça goal: Pedri adjusts his binoculars.
Although he says they are glasses.
(…)
A year and a half ago, Pedri visited The Anthill and Pablo Motos asked him about that gesture, that of his celebration:
-What does it mean?
–At first I didn’t know what gesture to do to celebrate a goal. I mentioned it to my father (Fernando) and he told me: ‘Do something that you can always repeat, something that sticks.’ And, precisely in tribute to my father, it occurred to me to put on glasses.
–They are not glasses, they are binoculars –the ants of the program qualified him.
Pedri shrugged his shoulders.
They are glasses, he reprimanded, period. The gesture has remained.
The culé fans applaud him. The culé doesn’t give a damn if they are glasses or binoculars.
With Pedri on the pitch, Barça settles in, enjoying its peripheral vision, its ability to time the game: Pedri looks like an older man disguised as a child. Or a child dressed as an older man. Or an officer with glasses that are binoculars. This Pedri is worth anything, even to crown the task by putting the bracelet on Gavi.
