The drama before the eyes of his friends: Paolo Roasio fell 300 meters
Paolo Roasio he lost his life at the age of 52, while in France. Originally from Verzuolo, in the province of Cuneo, the man was involved in a dramatic accident in Larche, in the Ubaye Transalpina.
Everyone knew him in his municipality and in these hours they are mourning his passing. Paolo Roasio was a cartoonist and his works were published on the front page of the local weekly, the Courier of Savigliano.
The 52-year-old had decided to go on an excursion with his friends. It should have been a day of carefree and relaxation, but it turned into a tragic day, which no one will ever forget. Paolo Roasio was at around 2000 meters above sea level when the snow on which he was walking surrendered. AND fell for over 300 metres.
The friends present, witnesses of the harrowing scene, immediately alarmed the French authorities and emergency services. Unfortunately no one could do anything to save the man's life, the fall did not left no escape. The death was confirmed on the spot.
The body of the 52-year-old Italian is still in France, it is not clear how it will come reported to Italy and when the family will be able to organize the funeral to give him a final farewell.

Attempts to resuscitate his companions and rescuers, notified by the group, were to no avail. The methods of returning to Italy and the funeral are to be defined. Fifty-two years old, an Alstom employee, Paolo had been telling the week's news in our newspaper with the irony of his style for almost twenty years.
