the masked singerThe panel of The Masked Singer punched himself in the head in bewilderment tonight at the unveiling of the mysterious Bookworm. Although her identity was obvious after a few clear hints, her name never came up when guessing. Carlo Boszhard, in particular, did not have it anymore. “It’s so difficult.”
The Bookworm’s suit was clearly a woman who has a thing for books, as it turned out in recent weeks. But other hints completely mislead the panel.
For example, the Boekenworm had brought along a lingerie set tonight as an indication, which she has sometimes worn for work. In combination with her slender body, panelist Buddy Vedder thought of Anna Nooshin, who often shares sexy photos on Instagram.
At the end of the evening Carlo bet his money on the influencer, while Gerard Joling went for Monica Geuze. After all, he sometimes shares exciting photos and, like Anna, has written a book. Buddy and Loretta Schrijver stayed closer to the writing world and chose Heleen van Royen and Saskia Noort.
‘Of course’
How could they have been so wrong, they wondered at the unveiling. One of the hint videos featured a Vodka Martini – shaken, not stirred -, a reference to James Bond. There is only one Dutch writer who has played a role in a Bond film.
The hint ‘the truth’ also fits that person, since she could be seen in the clip with the song The truth by Marco Borsato. She is also married to a former tennis player and the Bookworm’s suit had countless tennis-like balls on it.
“Of course,” Buddy just exclaimed as the mask came off. Carlo put his hands to his mouth and let his head fall towards the table in frustration. ,,Not normal”, said a surprised Gerard. ,,Those shocked faces, how wonderful”, enjoyed presenter Ruben Nicolai.
The Daphne’s name has not come up once in recent weeks, all the more fun for her. ,,It was a lot of fun to do, also because it was every week: who the hell is that?” she said.
Deckers, who wore the lingerie set in her years as a model, used the same excuse every time she had to rehearse in recent months and asked her surroundings what she was going to do. ,,I am ambassador of the Emma Children’s Hospital, so I have [zogenaamd] did a lot of activities for the hospital. You can always go out for a good cause, of course.”
