Taking advantage of the showcase offered by CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Panasonic unveiled two new high-end OLED TVs arriving later this year, lo to be precise Z95A 65 and 55 inches and the Z93A 77 inches. Both integrate Fire TV, which is a big change for the company, which had previously preferred to exclusively use its proprietary OS for its top-of-the-range models.
In this regard, Panasonic states that Fire TV integration represents a revolution in the way viewers can discover and consume new content, offering a personalized home screen that brings together all the main streaming services, apps, channels and recommended content. All this is combined with an improved and simplified user experience and full compatibility with Alexa, Siri, Apple Home, AirPlay.
Not only that, thanks to the Fire TV Ambient Experience, TVs become gods always-smart displayturning them into a sort of home art gallery, or show personal photos and useful information at a glance, such as your calendar and reminders via custom Alexa widgets.
144Hz and many gaming features
In addition to these important innovations related to Fire TV, the Z95A and Z93A smart TVs are equipped with the new processor HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, which uses artificial intelligence to ensure sharp, natural images. It can analyze and recognize the content viewed by the viewer and adjust the image settings accordingly, for example improving the brightness and contrast of an HDR film. This processor also boasts an optimized version of “Game Mode Extreme”, which offers cutting-edge gaming features.
Panasonic's Z95A model features a Master OLED Ultimate panel with Micro Lens Array, while the Z93A features a Master OLED Pro Cinema panel, both accompanied by Panasonic's proprietary technologies to guarantee a very high level visual experience. Furthermore, they support the Dolby Vision IQ Precisionan image enhancement system, designed to reproduce even the smallest details.
Interestingly, the new Panasonic TVs are among the first in the world to have the 144Hz refresh ratewhere it usually reaches a maximum of 120Hz, and which could entice PC gamers.
A significant improvement of the new models is represented by the Dolby Vision Gamingnow also compatible with 144Hz framerates, and “True Game” mode, an image preset specifically designed to improve color accuracy, including optimal settings for white balance and grayscale.
As for the audio part, the system 360° Soundscape Pro by Technics guarantees very immersive 3D surround sound thanks to multidirectional speakers and Dolby Atmos support. Speaking of audio, we also find sound modes created specifically for RPGs and FPS, to offer the best possible experience in these genres.
