León, Guanajuato. The candidate of the “Strength and Heart for Guanajuato” coalition, Libya Denisse García Muñoz Ledohas remained ahead in the preliminary results (PREP) of the Electoral Institute of the State of Guanajuato (IEEG).
Until 11:00 pm on Sunday, June 2, the candidate of PAN extraction had a 51.7% of the votes counted in his favorcompared to the closest competitor Alma Alcaraz Hernández, from the “Let’s keep making history” coalition, who had 40.2% of the votes in her favor, while Yulma Rocha Aguilar from Movimiento Ciudadano, registered 5.8% of the votes.
These numbers were those registered with 2,103 computed records, which represent 25.7% of the 8,166 total records. It is worth mentioning that 0.038% of the minutes were for unregistered candidacies and 2.11% were null votes.
These figures were after the speeches in which both candidates declared themselves winners of the governorship in the exit polls by a difference of 15 percentage points, which by midnight had been set at 11% in favor of the PAN candidate.
On the other hand, regarding local councils of the 22 total in 11 the advantage was for the PAN8 for the “let’s continue making history” coalition, and 3 for the “Fuerza y Corazón por Guanajuato” coalition.
Regarding City Councils, of the 46 municipalities of Guanajuato in 13 the Fuerza y Corazón por Guanajuato coalition takes the lead, and the PAN and Morena were tied with 12 city councils each, the Green Party, the PRI and Movimiento Ciudadano had 2 city councils while the PT and the PRD headed only 1 city council each.
It is important to mention that this cut is partial and the trends could still be modified and change the final result for any of the positions, so it will be tomorrow, Monday the 3rd, when there may be more compelling results to know the winners and virtual rulers.
