Palworld it is not a title devoid of content, on the contrary, for this reason, a new player could easily find himself in difficulty when faced with the amount of possibilities offered by the title. This guide was born with the intention of giving you the first guidelines for start your adventure on the right foot.
ATTENTION: if you intend to play Palworld sight unseen, we advise you to stop reading here. In the next paragraphs there will be spoilers relating to the contents of the first hours of the game.
Palworld: here are our 10 tips to get started!
1) Build your base in a flat area
Although the temptation might push you to build yours as soon as possible basicour advice is carefully choose the land on which to build it. The choice of flat terrain allows a series of advantages including greater space for the construction of buildings useful for survival and greater accessibility.
2) Pay attention to everything that moves
In this first phase it will not be useful to ignore the little creatures that pass by: even if the aesthetic style or type is not to your liking, the only way to start your journey is to be satisfied with what is found in the initial area, so as to increase the amount of resources and experience accumulated. In short words, we advise you to interact (via capture or killing) with all the local fauna.
3) Capture a Vixy
One of the first Pals to capture is certainly Vixy: not so much for her statistics (which are nothing exceptional) but for his particular skill which will certainly make the new coaches happy. Vixy has the ability to dig up objects once assigned to a ranch: in this way we will be able to stock up on products including the precious Pal Spheres.
4) Stock up on clothes and keys
Before venturing into the new biomes, we advise you to collect as many as possible keys possible: these will in fact allow you to open the precious chests scattered around the game world. To avoid being fooled by the too hot or cold climates of the various biomes, we can only invite you to stock up on clothes that help you combat the scorching heat and the freezing cold: only then will you be able to move freely in the game world.
5) Build a second base for collecting minerals
By completing the first Palbox missions we will understand the importance of collecting minerals: after completing the first missions you will have the opportunity to build a second base, we recommend placing it near a mineral deposit. To start the automatic extraction you will need to have Pals with this ability at level 2: we advise you to look for creatures such as Dumud and Digtoise. By also making a food spawn and a water source available, the base will continue its work autonomously (and very profitably).
6) Capture a Baddie for collecting minerals
To avoid being burdened too quickly by the resources obtained in the bases, the best thing to do is to capture a good number of Villains: these Pals, among the easiest to obtain, they reduce the weight of the resources we carry with us by 50%.allowing you to obtain a greater number of them than was possible without these creatures.
7) Capture a Daedream
Having a Daedream as a partner will allow you to take a nice sigh of relief during the fight: its partner ability in fact allows you to deploy a second partner during the fight, making Daedream in effect an “extra slot”. It is important to point out that, to take advantage of this ability, it will be necessary to create a Daedream Necklace, but we assure you that it will be worth it.
8) Stock up on food
Having a good supply of food is necessary in Palworld: our Pals, especially the rideable ones, consume large quantities. We advise you not to settle for picking berries for the sustenance of your creatures, but to create plantations as soon as possible, above all wheat plantations. We also recommend using your first “Ancient Technologies” resources to unlock the very useful feed bags.
9) Complete the Palbox missions
The game itself already offers guidelines for beginners through the Palbox missions: their completion allows us to understand the game dynamics and stock up on useful elements, as well as gradually unlock different skills and new options, including the creation of the secondary base. For this reason, the best thing you can do is rely on the guidelines given by the game.
10) Leave the towers alone (for now)
One last piece of advice we give to beginners in the world of Palworld is not to skip ahead: the battles at the towers are among the most difficult in the entire game, so avoid dealing with it for the first period. However, if you want to see how they work, know that the game will come to your aid: in case of defeat, in fact, your resources will be deposited at the entrance and you will not have to defeat the boss to regain them.
