Nintendo And The Pokémon Company announce that they have started a legal action against Pocket Pairdevelopers of PalworldThe lawsuit was filed in the Tokyo District Court and sees the two multinationals asking a damages claim related to the infringement of several patents. Nintendo has not yet disclosed which patents have been infringed, but the company has announced that will continue to take the necessary legal action to protect its IP.
Pocket Pair released a statement regarding the lawsuit, here is the translation:
Yesterday, a lawsuit was filed against our company for patent infringement.
We have taken note of this and We will proceed with appropriate legal action and an internal investigation to understand the basis behind these accusations.
At the moment We don’t know which patents we’re talking aboutwe have not yet been notified of these important details.

We will continue to do so because we know that our games are entertaining millions of players. The success of Palworld It’s been a big surprise this year, both for us and for our fans.
