Regarding the war in Gaza, Mustafa asked the EU to go “beyond condemning” Israel’s actions and assured that “the time has come to start asking Israel to stop the war.”
“We have to raise our voices a little more,” said the prime minister, and warned that, with each passing day of conflict, it will become more difficult to “heal” the wounds and give “a new beginning” to relations between Palestine and Israel. Mustafa raised it as a priority for his government to work to end the “humanitarian catastrophe” in Gaza, guaranteeing the provision of basic services and supplies for the population.
At the same time, the objective was also set to “prepare” the PA institutions for “the day when they are ready to govern in Gaza”, currently controlled by the Islamist movement Hamas, and “guarantee that there is a plan ” to administer the Strip after the current war.
