The president of the Senate and Congress, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), mourned the death of federal deputy Amália Barros (PL-MT) this Sunday, 12th.
“With regret, I received the news of the death of deputy Amália Barros, which occurred this Sunday. The parliamentarian marked her brief political career by defending the rights of people with disabilities. I send my condolences to the deputy’s family and friends,” said Pacheco, in a statement.
Amália died in the early hours of this Sunday, 12th, at the age of 39. She had been hospitalized since May 1, after having a nodule removed from her pancreas.
The deputy spent the last few weeks at Vila Nova Star Hospital, in São Paulo.
